Meet our CEO
I’ll always be indebted to my parents for investing time and resources so that I could grow up as a student athlete. From a very young age, I was playing sports at competitive levels and that is deeply intertwined with my identity. That was until I was in university and had to completely stop playing sports due to a sudden onset of joint pain and inflammation. This experience of trying to get a diagnosis and care deeply rocked me as I realized that the healthcare system was not designed to help patients effectively treat the root cause of illnesses, but rather worked to mask the symptoms.
After years of pain and struggling, I found my way to integrative care that helped me heal completely and the gut was central to addressing the systemic inflammation I was experiencing. This is why I set out to find the world’s most brilliant scientists so we could work to create a system where gut health is a part of everyone’s health care plans. With Vitract, I wake up everyday and work with some of the smartest people on the planet to make that a reality.

Meet our CSO
I am a scientist, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for the transformative power of the microbiome. Born and raised in Nigeria, my fascination with microbiology began early, leading me to earn a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto. There, I deepened my research into microbial interactions and their profound impact on biological ecosystems like the gut microbiome—where balance can mean the difference between health and disease.
Throughout my career, I’ve been at the cutting edge of bacterial genetics, exploring host-pathogen dynamics, phage therapy, and the microbiome’s role in chronic disease. But I knew that groundbreaking discoveries shouldn’t remain confined to academic journals—they needed to reach people in meaningful ways.
That realization led me to found Vitract, a company dedicated to bringing microbiome science into everyday healthcare. We’ve built the world’s most advanced gut testing platform, integrating deep whole-genome sequencing, AI-driven analytics, and personalized insights to empower individuals with actionable knowledge about their gut health.
My mission is clear: to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and real-world health solutions. The gut microbiome influences everything from digestion and immunity to mental well-being, and I am committed to making this science accessible to all.
